To strengthen our Global Sustainability team in Ede, we are currently hiring for two specialist roles, each playing a key part in advancing our sustainability ambitions. We are looking for:
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Specialist Sustainability
- Sustainability Data Specialist. (See link to this vacancy here)
Both roles contribute to building a robust, data‑driven sustainability foundation. As part of our Global Sustainability team, you will work closely with colleagues from different disciplines and business units worldwide, contributing insights that shape our sustainability strategy and support informed decision‑making. In addition, you will act as a key knowledge partner for colleagues across our international organization, supporting them with expertise, insights and guidance.
What will you do?
As an LCA Specialist, you will be responsible for developing the calculation rules behind Life Cycle Assessment tools and calculations for Greenhouse Gas emission at De Heus. Your tasks include:
- Conducting Life Cycle Assessments for our feed products and our production processes.
- Co-creating tools to calculate on-farm environmental impacts like carbon footprint for our customers.
- Advising colleagues and management on sustainability and translating complex analyses into clear opportunities for improvement.
- Identifying trends and developments within the LCA landscape and translating these into
De Heus initiatives. - Keeping up-to-date on environmental impact databases (such as GFLI) and methodologies (such as PEFCR Feed) to ensure the highest data quality and transparency of our data.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to realize sustainable solutions.
What do you bring?
- Experience in Life Cycle Assessments: We are seeking a specialist with 3-5 years of LCA experience, preferably in an international environment.
- Analytical skills: You recognize patterns, make connections, and make well-founded decisions.
- Small steps, big impact: In an organization where sustainability is closely linked to commercial goals, you know how to initiate projects that create significant impact. You can work independently and have a proactive attitude. You don't wait for things to happen; you come up with ideas and take action yourself.
- Stakeholder management: You can navigate a results-oriented global organization and easily connect across departments, countries, and cultures. You can translate complex processes into easy to understand communications.
- Perseverance : You are not afraid of innovation and are eager to drive improvements. Even when things get tough, you stay focused and keep going.
- Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
